The Christmas season of course promises trips to Dublin for shopping, meeting old friends and getting into the spirit of things, surrounded by the fantastic street decorations and beautiful shop windows. It’s also the perfect time to indulge in that favourite family friendly treat, the Christmas Panto.

The Cheerios Panto takes place at the Tivoli Theatre and gives a unique and hilarious twist to the fairy tale classic of Aladdin. Written by one of Ireland’s most experienced panto writers in Karl Broderick, the show is a certainty for riotous laughter and serious audience engagement!

Featuring one of Ireland’s brightest young comedic stars in Al Porter, the panto at the Olympia this year is The Ugly Sisters & Yer Wan – The Story of Cinderella. Along with comedian co-writer Karl Spain this year promises to be another smash hit with fun for all age groups! You’ll also be able to catch Ireland’s favourite turkey, Dustin, who manages to scrape through every Christmas without a scratch. What does he have for Christmas dinner we wonder?

The Gaiety Panto is pretty much an institution and this year the show is set to exceed even its own usually high standards. Robin Hood and His Merry Men will be singing, dancing and telling jokes as they try to evade the evil Sheriff of Nottingham and they’ll be bringing the whole family along for the raucous ride.

Christmas is always a magical time of the year and there’s always so much to do in Dublin, with some great shows happening at the Bord Gáis Theatre too, it’s easy to mix shopping and a wander around the town with an event that the whole family will remember for years to come.

We’re as excited about it as any kid and that’s why we’re offering fantastic discounts for everyone when they book online with us at Your Home From Home. What better way to enjoy the festivities than having your very own cosy luxury apartment in the city!

Kind regards and best wishes,
